With Every Thobe Purchased An Olive Tree Is Planted For You

OUR STORY

BAYT NUBA named after a village where its olive roots joins Jerusalem and Ramallah. A village close to our hearts, a village once full of life, where stone homes held generations, and olive groves stretched patiently across the land. Bayt Nuba was a farming village, its people bound to the soil through labour, prayer, and seasons. Women embroidered their histories into cloth, men tended fields passed down through ancestry, and children learned the land by exploring it.

In 1967, the villagers of Bayt Nuba were forcibly expelled from their homes under threat,
their doors left open, their harvests unfinished,
believing, like so many, that the separation would be temporary. It was not. The village was emptied. Homes were destroyed. Olive trees were uprooted. The people were scattered, carrying keys, memories, and grief into exile that would stretch across generations. But Bayt Nuba was never forgotten. What could not remain on the land was preserved in memory, in stories, whispered within families, and in thobes stitched with care and resistance. Through embroidery, the village survived. Through storytelling, it endured.

BAYT NUBA exists to honour that survival.
Our thobes are testimonies. Each stitch is a remembrance. Each garment carries a story waiting to be shared with you. We believe in community and unity.
Every woman, of every ethnicity, is welcome to stand with us and celebrate Palestinian heritage
as something living, resilient, and shared.

With every thobe purchased, we plant an olive tree in partnership with Human Appeal. The olive tree is sadaqah — a continuous act of giving. It is also an act of environmental care and quiet resistance. Its roots reclaim space. Its branches promise continuity.

With every thobe embraced, an olive tree is planted in your name, a quiet act of return,
Its roots reach into the Holy Land, intertwining with ours, refusing erasure.

Each tree stands as proof: what was uprooted can grow again

Let us plant an olive tree for you.
Let us share these stories with you.
Let us remember what was taken
and honour what remains.

We are all Palestinians.
